ABOUT US

MISSION STATEMENT

The primary purpose of the Bourbonnais Friendship Festival, Inc.
is to conduct the annual Bourbonnais Friendship Festival in
Bourbonnais, Illinois for civic, patriotic, educational and social
purposes;  for activities related to the organization; and fundraising
for Friendship Festival activities.  It is further intended to promote
the preservation of regional customs and traditions and to provide
good, wholesome, fun activities and entertainment in a family
atmosphere. 

The secondary purpose is in anticipation of generating funds for
local community and/or local family oriented projects and to
promote well-being, health and safety.

Lee Braford Scholarship

This scholarship, available to area high school seniors was endowed
in honor of Lee Braford, a long time volunteer and supporter of
the Friendship Festival.

Teen Idol & now Junior Idol!

In its 7th year, the Teen Idol contest gives talented area teens an
opportunity to showcase their vocal talent and earn
scholarship money! Returning for 2009 is the Junior Idol Contest!

Miss Friendship & Little
Miss Friendship

A staple of the Friendship Festival, the first Miss Friendship was crowned in 1976. This contest provides a $500 scholarship to a young adult with good moral character.

It is not a charitable organization as defined
under 501(c)3 IRS tax code.
